Combates en Silvia, Cauca: civiles atrapados en fuego cruzado entre Ejército y disidencias

In the rural area of ​​the municipality of Silvia, in the department of Cauca, heavy fighting broke out again between the Public Force and illegal armed groups vying for territorial control in the southwest of the country. According to official and community reports, the clashes occurred between the National Army and FARC dissidents, specifically the Dagoberto Ramos structure, one of the most active in the region. The situation is causing high alert because residents of the area have reported that civilians were caught in the crossfire. Among them was Father Darío, a religious leader from the municipality of Hambaló, who was later rescued with the help of emergency services. Local firefighters participated in rescue efforts to evacuate those affected by the emergency. Indigenous communities such as the Misak and Nasa peoples are present in this area of ​​Cauca, and they have warned about the growing impact of the armed conflict on their territories.
