Thirunelli Forest Stay and Brahmagiri Trekking Wayanad | 4K UHD

Thirunelly is a forest village located deep inside the Western Ghats forest in Wayanad. Thirunelli is well connected by road, there are public transport available, mostly from the nearby Mananthavady town (32km). Kerala Forest Department offers different programs there like nature camp at Thirunelli and Brahmagiri trekking. Nature campNature camp is a program where you can study nature and enjoy the beauty of nature. This is offered to a group of people. Thirunelli nature camp can be booked for a group of minimum 25 people. For Enquiry/Booking this nature camp, Contact Thirunelli Range officer : 9946597997 Brahmagiri Peak Trekking   Brahmagiri Trekking is one of the most popular treks in Wayanad and one of the few which strikes a balance between awesome views and being first-time-trekker-friendly. It takes more than 3 hours of an intense trek to reach the top of Brahamagiri, which is about at 1608 m high. Brahmagiri Trek begins from the Forest department camp shed at Thirunelli and is 10 kms long walking. You’d be exhausted by the steep climb, but the gurgle of streams comes at regular intervals to warm the cockles of your heart. Every time you get tired, you only have to crane your head up to see the majestic Brahmagiri hills, beckoning you from a distance, to pep you up. If you’re lucky and carry a binocular, climb the watchtower and you’d spot a herd of gaurs or elephants grazing on the valleys. Brahmagiri trekking timings : 07.30 am, 08.00 am, 8.30 am, 09.00 am. Entry will be allowed till 09:30 am only. Holidays: Monday and Friday.
