As National Societies are different so are their resource development activities. It is this variety that is the key to success. Examples of resource development practiced by National Societies include collections and sale of Christmas cards by the Finnish Red Cross; lotteries run by the National Societies of Cape Verde and Costa Rica; bakery, cattle farming and piggery projects of the Zimbabwe Red Cross; the Bahamas fundraising ball, the international Bazar run by Singapore Red Cross Society and the Fiji Red Cross week.
