Bright Hippie Flora

After a long, hard winter, it's always nice when warm weather starts to return. By the middle of March, I was all ready for spring flowers, so I started going through the flower papers that I have in my collection. I had a lot of roses, but I wanted some thing even brighter. I headed over to Etsy and searched for bright, colorful flowers. I ran across a collection by Bow Arts called “Bright flowers”. Not only was the collection bride, but it also was to me, very nostalgic. It brought back to me my last two years of high school and my first two years of college. It was both a heady time, as well as a scary time. I arranged the letter size papers, so that they would fit two on a page and make good book fodder. I also took some coffee-dyed digitalpaper that I had purchased from Digital Fit and added some more texture and color gradient overlay. That gave me plainer paper that could be used for journaling or photos. I printed the papers the next day and alternated flower, pages with plain pages. I also printed some designs I thought would make good pockets and cut out them as well as journal cards. As I was waiting for the pages to print, I watched a video on YouTube from Treasure Books, showing how to make an easy, lay flat journal. Serendipity: new spring paper, and a new type of journal I had never tried before. This Bright Hippie Flora book is 9” tall by x 6” wide x 2.5” deep. The fabric spine as well as the way, the signatures are put together makes this book extremely flexible. The price of this journal is $79..00 plus shipping and handling, if required, in the United States. I apologize for the price increases, but my commission went up 10% at the beginning of the year, so prices had to go up as well. All paper goods are sold as is. If the album featured has been gifted or sold, I can usually make another with the same theme, if the paper is still available. I print most of my paper from digital designs, but some of the album/journals are made with pre-printed paper, and that is often only available for a season or two after its release. Prices of new album/journals/folios may be different than this one. Because of the nature of hand crafting, the whimsy of creating, and vagaries of recollection, it is highly unlikely that any new iterations using this paper will be exactly the same as the first one. The album/journal should be unique to you, especially if you add the included stickers and/or embellishments to your book.
