We spoke to Yuji Yoshikawa, a former detective with the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department for nearly 25 years, about the inner workings and lives of police officers, a profession that seems familiar but is surprisingly unknown. ★★★ Send your questions in the comments! ★★★ [Profile #YujiYoshikawa] Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1956 Joined the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department in 1976 1977 Graduated and assigned to Setagaya Police Station. After working in the Patrol Division (now the Community Affairs Division), he was assigned to the Juvenile Division, where he contributed to solving crimes involving violations of the Child Welfare Act by organized crime groups. 1980 Enrolled at Chuo University's Faculty of Law as a commissioned student by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department. 1988 Promoted and assigned to Shinjuku Police Station.
