Bestar Wall Bed assembly - step by step (Costco murphy bed)

Narrated assembly of a Bestar wall bed from start to finish. Note: this was filmed several years ago; newer beds require fewer steps/come with the front panel trim pre-assembled. Problems we had: Damaged pieces from shipping Missing pieces Pistons stuck Foot bar broke Allen wrench stripped They sent replacements for all of the damaged/missing/broken pieces; Bestar's customer service was good. Customer support was great and took care of all of our issues. But, check your pieces thoroughly before your start, or you might be stuck waiting for something to be shipped to you partway through (multiple times). We also did not cut away the baseboard as recommended in the instructions; our baseboard was very narrow and did not impact the overall slant of the bed on the carpet. When we built our second one on a hard floor however, the angle was noticeably impacted by the baseboard. Instead of cutting away the entire segment of the baseboard as the instructions show, we held up the bed to the wall to mark where the side panels would rest, and used a Dremel and chisel to just notch out those spots of the baseboard so we could slide it into place before attaching to the studs. If you're opposed to cutting into your baseboards, I assume you could use a jigsaw to cut a small notch out of the side panels of the bed instead.
