Christian BSL 5th Anniversary Carol Service 2024

Join us on Facebook and YouTube for the Christian BSL 5th Anniversary Carol Service on Thursday 19th December 2024. Our service is led in BSL by Deaf Christians; Veronica Stewart-Holmes, Mary-Jayne Russell de Clifford, Helen Cottingham, Tony Hawkins, and Fatimo O Olubakin. Gather at 4 pm as Deaf Iranian refugee Maral Mamaghanizadeh tells us about her Muslim upbringing, her artistic protests against oppression, her conversion to Christianity, the rejection and threats she experienced, and the highlights of her very first Christmas aged 26! Then, from 4:15 pm, the Christian BSL 5th Anniversary Carol Service begins. The broadcast is led in British Sign Language with spoken English interpretation and captions. After the service, at about 5 pm, stay to watch the 'Making of...' documentary as we take you behind the scenes and show you how the service was created. Bring your evening to a close with laugher when at around 5:15 pm we share outtakes and bloopers from the 2023 and 2024 carol services.
