We started by bringing the Peugeot RCZ back to life with a full paint correction, before tackling some DIY paintwork on the Fiat 500. With the cosmetic work complete, it was time for one of the biggest mechanical jobs we've faced yet—a heavily rusted Kia Rio rear subframe that had completely failed its MOT. After hours of cleaning, wire-wheeling, rust treating and painting the replacement subframe, we finally installed it back onto the car. Just when we thought the week couldn't get any bigger, we stripped almost the entire interior out to replace the HVAC heater box. It was a huge job, but by doing everything ourselves we've saved well over £1,000 in labour—money we simply couldn't afford to spend right now.
