CAL 26 TALKS: Felicity Aylieff - Porcelain, Practice, Place
CPA Keynote speaker Felicity Aylieff, reflects on over two decades of working in Jingdezhen, China – the historic heart of porcelain production. Since her first residency there in 2005, Aylieff has returned each summer to collaborate closely with local factories, developing a contemporary approach to traditional techniques such as cobalt blue-and-white painting and fencai on-glaze enamels, often working at an extraordinary scale. Her talk explores how these long-standing collaborations have shaped her distinctive ceramic language and her recent exhibitions at Kew Gardens and Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
