🇩🇪 The German Army Officer School (OSH) is located in Dresden, the capital of Saxony. The OSH regularly holds its graduation ceremonies in front of the Semperoper opera house. Naturally, traditional military music is an integral part of these ceremonies. This was also the case on February 1, 2026. 700 graduates from various courses were honored at the ceremony in Theaterplatz (Theater Square). And, of course, the march of the German Army Officer School was played: the March of the 1st Battalion Guard, which commemorates the 1st Foot Guard Regiment from Prussian times. Its tradition dates back to 1675. 350 years of military history united in Theaterplatz in Dresden, directly in front of the Semperoper.
