Archive: Applied Immune Profiling: Monitoring the Immune System in Cancer

After watching this lecture by Dr. Chris Carlson of the University of Washington and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, viewers should be able to: 1. Compare and contrast the strengths and weaknesses of existing gold standard for MRD (multi-parameter flow cytometry) and recently developed high-throughput sequencing methods. 2. Describe the appropriate controls for application of high throughput sequencing of adaptive immune receptors in the context of monitoring minimal residual disease for leukemia and lymphoma. 3. Identify clinical contexts in which HTS is and is not appropriate for monitoring MRD. 4. Interpret HTS results for diagnostic specimens and clinical followup, including cases where no dominant clone could be identified.
