The C-Cap midsole is probably the most obvious choice for larger people with a medium weight, as this midsole is free from the perennial NB issues of peeling paint and ABZORB explosions found on the 998. Furthermore, the rigid, orthopedic-shaped outsole is the right solution for joints and ligaments. Heel stabilization is provided by an external plastic counter and a taller internal plastic counter. Together, they provide confident heel support. The exterior is made of beautiful genuine leather, very pleasant to the touch. This pair is beautifully crafted, with only a few minor flaws to nitpick, such as a hole on the side that isn't fully punched. The N-branding on this model is made of the same genuine leather as the sneaker itself and is stitched onto a light, non-reflective leather lining. The interior is made of excellent perforated leather, ensuring comfort and wear resistance for many years. I strongly recommend caring for these sneakers as you would any other leather shoe: 1) Dry them on cedar shoe trees, or at least with newspaper inside to smooth out any creases. 2) Let them rest and don't wear them for two days in a row. 3) At least once every couple of months, treat them with natural shoe polish or leather balm to prevent drying out. This model fits my Russian size, but it took a little time to break in the wide part of my foot, as the last is intentionally slightly tapered. My feet are quite wide. Thanks for watching!
