Everybody Loves Raymond Uses Active Listening - from Parent Effectiveness Training
In this episode of Everybody Loves Raymond, Ray uses the Active Listening skills that he learned in a "Parent Effectiveness Training" workshop. The history of how this came to be? We did some research when we heard from viewers of the show about it, as we never granted permission to NBC to use our copyrighted program for their show. It turns out that two writers from the show attended a P.E.T. class in Los Angeles in the early 90's and wrote an entire episode on their experience. We think they did a pretty good job! Of course, you learn a lot more than Active Listening in P.E.T., but hey on a sitcom, you've got 20 minutes, so you do what you can. There are many other essential skills taught, modeled and practiced in a real P.E.T. class. http://www.gordontraining.com/parent-...
