1987 Badminton Grand Prix Semi Final Xiong Guo Bao vs Misbun Sidek

Misbun enjoyed a resurgence in 87 like in 83.Here he plays a good first set with the drift,throws the 2nd against the drift,then looks fatigued in the 3rd whilst Xiong plays at the same pace throughout. Pity Misbun of the classical leisure era badminton did not undergo Fang Kai Xiang's (the coach paid a king's ransome of rm600 a month) ccp training.But then again if he had he would have come to blows with Fang like some of the juniors who hated being tortured and quit the team.
