Webinar Food Loss & Waste #1 Waste4Change x BAPPENAS RI x IPB University x Garda Pangan

Food Loss and Waste (FLW) is a critical issue affecting a country's food security, which also impacts the equitable distribution of public welfare. According to data from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), globally, 1.3 trillion tons of food is lost annually. Food loss and waste (FLW) generated in Indonesia from 2000 to 2009 reached 115-184 kg per capita per year, causing economic losses equivalent to 4-5% of Indonesia's GDP, amounting to 213-551 trillion rupiah per year. Coinciding with the International Day of Food Loss & Waste on September 29th, World Food Day on October 16th, and Poverty Eradication Day on October 17th, and in conjunction with Waste4Change's seventh anniversary this coming November, Waste4Change is holding a webinar to discuss how all parties can collaborate in FLW management, thereby strengthening the implementation of a circular economy and national food security. #WiseWasteManagement #Waste4Change7Years #CollaborationToOvercomeWaste
