SPIN CLASS with TheStradman! NOW My AMG GT Black Series NEEDS New Tires

When you need new tires, there's nothing better than a spin class! I'm with ‪@TheStradman‬ to kill off the set on my AMG GT Black Series ready to get some new ones on for the tour to continue. It turns out I managed a good job of that... these are toast and destroyed far beyond expectations! After a visit to James' new Dream House and garage, he's kindly introduced me to the team at Envision, who prepared in advance a new set for my car. Having somehow survived 5,000 miles of driving in the United States including a track day at Circuit of the Americas, and the mileage covered beforehand, it's safe to say that they are really onto the last legs now. Knowing they are to be thrown out, and thankfully having found some 100 octane fuel, it can only mean getting rid of the in the best way possible! With over 800hp to the rear wheels, the GT Black Series has no issues lighting up the rears in style, with a little opportunity to run through the 9 Stage AMG Traction Control as well. However, the most fun comes with it all off and a whole lot of tire smoke being chucked out. Upon inspection at Envision however, it becomes clear quite how much these shredded up and it's a good thing the replacement set are available to be swapped straight on. I've chosen to not go with a direct swap to a new set of Cup 2 R, primarily with longevity in mind and as we head towards winter months thinking about the potential weather. In their place, I've gone for a set of Cup 2 from the regular AMG GT R which are still very much a track/performance tyre, but just take that top few percent away from being impossible to use if the weather turns against us on a cold day.
