Latin America is a vast region rich in diverse natural resources, from vegetation and gemstones to energy sources. These should have been blessings from nature, bringing prosperity to the region. However, in reality, they attracted rulers from distant lands, leading to the region being divided and colonized by various empires that exploited its resources. Over 300 years ago, Latin America began to break free from Spanish imperialism and sought ways to reunify. But in 2026, many believe history is repeating itself as the United States openly and aggressively expands its control over this Western hemisphere. Many argue that what is happening in Venezuela, and what is about to happen in Panama, Colombia, or Cuba, is a revival of the Monroe Doctrine, a political system the US adopted 200 years ago.
