MONSTER ALLIGATOR GAR [ EPIC catch on the ARKANSAS RIVER ]

I'd heard people were catching multiple species at this spot on the Arkansas River. I've seen a few people catch alligator gar too. I went to this spot early in the morning to see what all I can catch, hoping a big gar would come along. I wasn't expecting this monster (70.25"). It was an epic morning. Alligator Gar Limit and Permits Alligator gar may not be taken from noon, May 1-noon, July 1. Only one alligator gar under 36 inches may be taken per day by anglers and bowfishers. Alligator gar 36 inches and longer may only be kept if the angler or bowfisher has an Alligator Gar Tag.
