The first Prussian T3 locomotive ran as early as 1882. It's a symbol of the old railway. Built according to the standards of the Prussian State Railways, the three-coupled tender locomotive became a true success story. In total, renowned German locomotive manufacturers produced over 1,300 units. Its robust construction and reliability shaped the landscape for decades. Later, the DRG (German State Railway) took over the small locomotives and reclassified them as Class 89.70. The last year of operation with both German state railways was 1968.
