The REAL truth about permanent and removable adhesive vinyl

Both types of vinyl can be cut on your Silhouette, Cricut, Brother, or any other Vinyl cutting machine. There is no limit to what you can do. If you do not have a machine, grab a pair of scissors and cut your favorite design. Removable vinyl works great on indoor surfaces that you just want the vinyl there for a little while like decals on walls. It's also easier to remove when the time comes. It is not as tacky as the permanent vinyl. However, if you have it on a surface for a prolonged amount of time or in direct contact with sun it will become permanent and take a little extra elbow grease to remove. Permanent vinyl is the type you would want to use if you are planning on placing decals on your mugs or cups or even on your car. It has a higher tack in the adhesive and is designed to stay longer.
