Upgrading My Range Rover L322 Alternator to a 220A L405 Unit! When my alternator failed in Germany, I saw it as an opportunity to upgrade! The L405 Range Rover alternator is almost identical to the L322’s but delivers 220 amps instead of 150, which is perfect for my setup. With my Bluetti Charger One pulling 560 watts to charge the AC180, and all the extra electrical gear I’ve added, I needed a more powerful alternator.
