Avoiding Open Catalan theory with 5.Qa4+
Playing Qa4+ instead of Bg2 or Nf3, going into normal Open Catalans, avoids a ton of opening theory and is fairly easy to prepare. On the other hand, black should not have any issues and will mostly be able to equalize fairly easily.
