Mindfulness is a Human Skill Here’s How to Train Your Attention
Mindfulness is often misunderstood as relaxation, clearing the mind, or trying to stay calm. In this video, I explore mindfulness as a practical way of studying your life and your experience by training attention, awareness, and choice. We look at how mindfulness helps us notice where our attention goes, work with distraction, become aware of our reactions to pleasant and unpleasant experiences, and develop a different relationship with our thoughts and emotions. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult experiences, mindfulness can help us relate to them with greater clarity, balance, and wisdom.
