However, while I was grappling with the nagging doubt of "Is it really okay to end my 30s and 40s wearing myself out mentally and physically like this?", a major turning point arrived. My husband made the big decision to change jobs, prioritizing his mental and physical health. From now on, the significant boost from monthly overtime pay will disappear. Our take-home pay will also decrease. Normally, with a tens of millions of yen mortgage and a car loan about to begin on our newly purchased Land Cruiser, achieving "FIRE in 7 years" might seem impossible. But precisely because of this situation, we believe it's worth seriously challenging ourselves, trusting in the power of household financial management we've diligently built up so far, and the "power of compound interest" on our assets of over 30 million yen. The ultimate romantic dream we want to fulfill the moment we achieve Side FIRE: That is, to travel around Japan with my husband, camping in our beloved Land Cruiser 250!
