Are We Supposed to Seek Good Life? Sh. Muhammad Alshareef (rahimahullah)

Seeking a good life in this world is not discouraged in Islam, as long as it is pursued within the boundaries set by Allah and with the intention of using those blessings to fulfill one's responsibilities and serve the greater good. Our deen emphasizes that material possessions and worldly achievements should not be the sole focus of one's life, but that doesn't mean they should be completely disregarded. It is about striking a balance and maintaining the right perspective. Allah (swt) says in the Quran: " Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do." (Surah An-Nahl, 16:97) This verse highlights the fact that those who do good deeds, whether male or female, will be rewarded with a blessed life.
