They are mixtures of ingredients prepared to meet the nutritional requirements of each species, age, productive stage, and type of farm used. They are either provided as a rich source of food or as supplements or complements to other nutritional sources. Raw materials entering the process must first undergo strict quality control before storage, which includes the evaluation of parameters such as humidity, size, and microbial concentration. Whole grains and some bran must undergo a size reduction or milling process to ensure adequate size. After the flours and grains are milled, they are taken to the dosing hoppers, and the control cubicle determines the proportion of each raw material required in the specific formulation according to the type of animal.
