This Bus Route is having its FIRST OPERATOR CHANGE | 11th July Operator Changes coming to the 301..

A 'MostlyBuses' style production.. DISCLAIMER: All footage/photography used to create this video is entirely MY OWN. On the 11th July 2026, Bus Route 301 will be changed. Up until that point, Route 301 will be operated by Arriva London out of their Dartford (DT) Bus Garage, but on the 11th July, Route 301 will pass to Stagecoach Selkent, who will run the route from their garage in Plumstead (PD). Under Arriva, the 301 used Wright Eclipse Gemini 2's from 2011, 2012 & 2013, Wright Eclipse Gemini 3's from 2017 (which have transferred from Tottenham (AR) Garage) and ADL Enviro400s from 2015. However, when Stagecoach wins the route, it is expected that an assortment of temporary hybrids and electrics will be used until the 301's contractual fleet of Electroliners, which the company ordered for the route, have arrived. That said, I have however spotted existing Enviro400EV's inside Plumstead (PD) Bus Garage - the non Superloop-wrapped variant - transferred from Bromley (TB) Bus Garage where they operated on routes such as the 61, 261 and occasionally the 246. These may also likely crop up on the route, covering for the time the route will spend awaiting its intended batch of vehicles. Route 301 runs between Woolwich Arsenal and Bexleyheath, Town Centre daily. The route is run by Arriva London with a PVR of 8 vehicles. The route has a frequency of a bus every 12 minutes during daytimes and every 15 minutes in the night. The route runs via the following primary locations: Plumstead, Bus Garage (for Plumstead Station), Nathan Way, Thamesmead, Town Centre, Thamesmead, Carlyle Road, Harrow Manorway, Abbey Wood & Abbey Wood Station, New Road, Woolwich Road, Bostall Heath, Long Lane, and Bexleyheath, Market Place, where the route sets down - for northbound journeys, the route picks up from Bexleyheath, Clock Tower. Route 301 is just 8 miles long. Route 301 was introduced in 2019, and now provides support for two newly introduced Superloop routes - the Superloop SL3, which runs between Thamesmead Central and Bromley North and Superloop SL11, which runs between Abbey Wood and North Greenwich. Route 301 also provides connections with several railway lines including but not limited to the Elizabeth Line at Woolwich Station, National Rail services and Docklands Light Railway DLR at Woolwich Arsenal Station, National Rail services at Plumstead Station, and the Elizabeth Line and National Rail services at Abbey Wood Station. It will also likely provide a link with the Docklands Light Railway at Thamesmead when that rail link is created.
