The Royal Welsh "Party in the Castle" Anniversary Events

The Royal Welsh hosted a special commemorative event inside the grounds of Cardiff Castle on Saturday 7th September to mark the 300th anniversary of the rising of the 41st Regiment of Foot and the 50th anniversary since the formation of the Royal Regiment of Wales. The Regimental Band and Corps of Drums of the Royal Welsh performed throughout the day and also members of 1st Battalion Royal Welsh provided a ceremonial guard outside the castle, a rare treat for the Welsh Capital and carried out guard mounts through out the day. Reenactors of the 41st Regiment of Foot and the Battle of 1812 from Canada were there performing demonstrations also with their period Fife and Drums.
