One of our regular SASUKE contestants, Mr. Hioki, was injured two weeks before the show. He was in no condition to compete in SASUKE, and it was hopeless for him to participate. When his fellow SASUKE contestants heard about it, they rushed to Mr. Hioki's side. For those unfamiliar with SASUKE, there's someone like Golden Bomber's Tarumisake. With the support of his family and friends, he tried all the treatments he could, including ultrasound therapy. And he was able to perform on stage that very day. And with that kind of energy, he made it through the first stage and made it all the way to the third stage. In fact, I'd only really watched it properly in 2018, and I was shocked at how moving the show was every time. I can say this now, but I thought it was just a muscle-brained show. Apologies. There were also other amazing performers, The people who try out early on, especially the third person, usually fail quickly, which is what makes SASUKE so interesting, and I feel so involved that I think they're part of the team that makes it so great. Because the moment the first person clears it, it's amazing. Even though they're complete strangers, everyone there screams "Yay!" This is just my bias, and I don't think it's correct at all, but it feels like they're saying, "The show is done!" I like tournaments that don't have a challenger-versus-challenge structure. I feel like there used to be a lot of challenger-versus-challenge shows. If you bought tickets to the show, you'd get a million yen. Oh, I love that kind of thing. Next week, I'll be doing "The Anywhere Electric Frustrating Stick." ...I guess not everyone knows about it.
