CNTE se queda en la CDMX y prepara nuevas movilizaciones

The CNTE teachers' union agreed in an assembly to maintain its sit-in in Mexico City, initially rejecting the government's proposal for a public pension insurer and demanding a more favorable offer. Leaders called for strengthening the mobilization with the arrival of more teachers from other states and warned that they would increase pressure to obtain answers to their demands. They announced blockades for this Friday at various points along Paseo de la Reforma, including Reforma and Insurgentes avenues and the Glorieta del Ahuehuete roundabout, while the next national assembly will be held on Sunday. In addition, organizations such as the National Union of Agricultural Workers and the Assembly of Neighborhoods proposed joining the protests, which could broaden the mobilizations in the capital.
