In 1993, Lisa Price founded her Black-owned hair care, body care and skin care beauty company Carol's Daughter which she named after her mother. In 2014 the company filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy and was acquired by L'Oreal USA. In 2025, L'Oreal USA divested and sold Carol's Daughter back to Lisa Price and it remains one of a relatively small number of multi-million dollar Black-owned companies.
