Oreck XL Classic (XL2330 HS) Lightweight Upright Vacuum (In Memory of David Oreck)

Here is an Oreck XL Classic model XL2330HS lightweight upright vacuum that I acquired from a local pawn shop in my area. This is basically the same thing as the XL2310 (   • Oreck XL Classic (XL2310 RSN) Lightweight ...  ), but just in a white color. I have more childhood memories of this particular XL Classic, so I definitely think this was worth adding to the collection. I bought this vacuum for surprisingly cheap and it was in very filthy condition and had a broken belt (as usual), but after a quick clean out and a new belt and brush roll, here is how it stands today. This vacuum is extremely lightweight, and is definitely what makes Oreck vacuums so famous, they're definitely a good vacuum for older folks or people who have back or arthritis problems. This does come with a canister like all Oreck's do, but the one for this one went missing by the previous owner which I personally didn't mind, all I wanted was the upright itself, but that does work well and is useful for cleaning furniture, stairs, and even detailing your car. Even though this one is only a single speed model, this does surprisingly good on bare floors for a vacuum that lacks a brush roll shutoff feature, and although I still wouldn't recommend using it on bare floors since the brush roll never shuts off, this does do decent since it has a rubber squeegee on the back to prevent scattering dirt behind it. It features a 4 amp motor with direct air design and takes type CC bags (one thing I will credit Oreck's for is their filtration for being a direct air vacuum, it's really fantastic). The suction is not the best, the airflow is good, and the agitation all right, but not the best because the brushes on the brush roll aren't stiff (but they are super dense). My only complaint about this machine is how loud it is, and the low the performance is for these vacuums for how much they retail for brand new, I personally think it could be better, although it does leave good carpet lines (mostly from the side edge cleaning brushes on either side of the vacuum). Overall, this is a very nice vacuum to use, and does perform good.
