Triumph Scrambler 400X On and Off Road Test Ride and First Impressions (In Texas!)

The Triumph Scrambler 400X is an intriguing entry into the dual sport/ADV bike space. I've been dying to get out on a Triumph Scrambler 400 X test ride all summer, and I finally got my chance at the TouraTexas rally in October. The Scrambler 400 is an unintimidating bike with classic scrambler styling. On the road it is smooth and easily controllable, making it a fantastic bike for new riders to learn on. When you take the Triumph Scrambler 400X off road, it's stable, planted, and has the exact right amount of power and torque to be enjoyable without being intimidating. My initial Triumph Scrambler 400 review is this: it's an unintimidating ADV(ish) bike for new riders that has the power and capability to cruise at 70 on the highway and tackle easy to intermediate off road motorcycle riding. It's not the MOST capable off road bike ever, but the Triumph 400x is more than capable of taking even an intermediate rider deep into the backcountry on forest roads.
