LPC LoonCam 2 - Live - 2026

A 24/7 stream of a loon nesting site in New Hampshire's Lakes Region, operated by the Loon Preservation Committee ( https://loon.org/ ) This season's story: There are two eggs being incubated as of June 14'th, but we saw a lot of drama getting there. The first egg, laid on May 22nd, was destroyed by otters on May 24th (see video here    • Romp of Otters Invades the Loon Nest! - May24   ). A second egg was laid that same evening, but unfortunately, severe and persistent black fly swarms on the lake drove the loons away and prevented them from steadily incubating it and was removed by LPC after a few days. A third egg was laid early on June 10'th, but within two hours, had been stolen by a mink (see video here    • A Third Egg Stolen   ) A fourth egg arrived around 9:46AM on Friday, June 12'th and a fifth egg at 7:30PM on Sunday, June 14'th. Estimated hatch window is July 10-12. The members of this pair are both banded. The male was originally banded as an adult in 2023, which means that he is at least 6 years old this year but more likely 9 or older. His band combination is: Left leg: Blue stripe (blue background with a horizontal white stripe) over orange dot (orange background with a centered black dot) Right leg: Blue dot (blue background with a centered white dot) over silver The female was banded as an adult in 2025, so she is at least 4 years old but more likely 7 or older this year. Her band combination is: Left leg: White dot (white background with a centered black dot) over white dot Right leg: Orange stripe (orange background with a horizontal black stripe) over silver Viewing tips Resolution: Stream is available in 4K — adjust your YouTube quality setting if needed.
