How to Use Oratex Finishing Tapes Tutorial Seminar
With the Oratex Aircraft Fabric System there is no need to spray paint and the Oratex Finishing Tapes are coated with several layers of Color and UV Protection at the Factory in a big coating machine. The glue is also already applied at the back side of the tapes at the factory. There is no need or purpose to apply extra glue manually for the sake of the tapes as such, but there is usually glue that gets applied manually for other reasons where the tapes are going; such as the need to coat the rib-stitches and the re-enforcement tapes with extra glue. This has to be done before the Oratex Finishing Tapes are glued in place. Failure to apply glue onto the stitches and re-enforcement tape would create awful air bubbles under the finishing tape and it would look like hell ! - With this system it is very important to follow the instructions and be sure NOT to use methods and concepts that originated with spray-paint-based aircraft Fabric systems!
