The Best Way to Remove Wallpaper Glue

In this video, Steve's Garage moves inside! I'm covering how to remove wallpaper glue in my laundry room. The wallpaper came off with ease, but it left behind a solid coating of wallpaper glue on the drywall. You can't paint or mud over wallpaper glue, so it has to be removed. The easiest method to remove wallpaper glue from drywall is Zinsser Wallpaper Stripper. Zinsser Wallpaper Stripper has a very low odor which was great for my small laundry room, and worked excellent. Simply spray the Zinsser Wallpaper Stripper over a small area that has wallpaper glue on it, let it sit for a few minutes to break the glue down, and remove with a scraper or sponge. I found the scraper to be effective on smooth areas with a lot of wallpaper glue, but the sponge was great for cleaning up an uneven wall, or areas with just a little wallpaper glue residue left. All the products I used were available at my local Home Depot, so those are the links I've included below. If you have any questions about Zinsser Wallpaper Stripper or removing wallpaper glue from your walls, leave a comment and I can help you out! Thanks for watching Steve's Garage.
