Keto 掛倒 of the Koto Ryu Koppojustu Shoden Gata
The name of this technique means to attack and knock down. This taijutsu technique is against a two handed lapel grab. Quickly, double Nio-ken (guardian fist, a conventional fist using the knuckles, ie. shikan ken inward) the backs of the attacker’s hands (either down or inward, I specifically asked Manaka Sensei this question as there are similar kata in our art that counter in specific ways), as you step back on your right leg. Finish the kata with a right stomp kick to kinteki, dropping them onto their back. Maintain zanshin at the end. ... end notes Thank you for visiting and supporting my work in preserving the Traditional Japanese Martial Arts of Jissen Kobudo at the Yasuragi Dojo.
