This set of variations is included in the manuscript called "Códice Saldívar 4", dated 1732, and found in Mexico in 1940 by the musicologist Gabriel Saldívar. Gabriel Schebor plays a 5 course guitar built by Sebastián Núñez after an original by Joseph Massaguer (Barcelona, 1758)
