While belonging to the Wolfdogs Nagoya of the SV League, he was also selected for the Japanese national team for the Nations League to be held in China and other locations starting next month, but he was arrested during the national team training camp. Inside the parlor, where pachinko and slot machines line the floor, an employee found a black shoulder bag on a slot machine seat. Upon checking inside, they found a pouch. Furthermore, upon closer inspection, dried plant fragments were found inside. A store employee near the pachinko parlor: "There were three police bicycles and one patrol car at the pachinko parlor yesterday. They were there for about two hours. I wonder if something happened." The Metropolitan Police Department analyzed the plant fragments and determined them to be marijuana. They arrested suspect Sato around 9:30 AM today. An acquaintance who had spoken with suspect Sato yesterday said… An acquaintance of suspect Sato: "I'm shocked. He's a serious person, so I never thought he would do something like this." The Metropolitan Police Department has not disclosed whether suspect Sato has admitted or denied the charges. ■ Japan Volleyball Association removes suspect from national team roster The Japan Volleyball Association has urgently issued a statement explaining the incident.
