The Dream Whisperer Documentary

"The Dream Whisperer" is a documentary that originally premiered on NBA TV and has also been featured on PBS. The film chronicles the historic story of the Tennessee A&I Tigers (now Tennessee State University), an all-Black team that won three consecutive collegiate basketball championships in the late 1950s. Directed by Eric Drath, the documentary follows former New York Knicks star Dick Barnett on a relentless, decades-long mission to secure proper recognition for his team. Barnett’s efforts eventually led to the team’s historic induction into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
