We took 30 people to Ghana - mothers and daughters, solo travelers, full families. We all left the same: changed forever. In just over a week, we experienced historical Accra, a traditional naming ceremony, the slave river, Cape Coast Castle, five-star hotels, exquisite dining, and culture and commerce at the highest level. But nothing could have prepared us for what it would do to our souls. One attendee said it best: "I've said 'Black' my whole life and never said African-American because I didn't feel a connection to Africa. Now I feel so connected. I feel so powerful." This wasn't just a trip. It was a homecoming. We walked through the Door of No Return — and walked back out calling it the Door of Return. We held our very first international TSP event on African soil — 100 entrepreneurs in the room, Ghanaian and American, networking, partnering, and building together.
