Bird watching,Spain,Extremadura,Part 5,Vegas Altas

Today we move to a more agricultural, but certainly not uninteresting area. Finally I can get a good picture of the bee-eater and the free-ranger and in Madrigalego the storks steal the show. We search the fields for new sightings and at the viewing hut of the Observatorio de Aves there are many purple herons. We end the day at the Presa del Embalsa de Sierra Brava. Vandaag trekken we naar een meer agrarisch, maar zeker niet oninteressanter gebied. Eindelijk kan ik de bijeneter en de scharrelaar goed in beeld nemen en in Madrigalego stelen de ooievaars de show. We speuren op de akkers naar nieuwe waarnemingen en bij de kijkhut van het Observatorio de Aves zitten veel purperreigers.
