227 - Text to Speech Using SRT and TXT Yes, PowerDirector can utilize SRT files and plain vanilla TXT files to create Speech. However, their method involves pushing all the text onto subtitles first and then creating the speech based on the text in the subtitles. PowerDirector does NOT directly read a TXT file to create speech. And that is a big disappointment for me at least. I also think this approach puts them behind the curve based on what all the other video editors on the market can achieve.
