Absolutely Disgusting ThyssenDover Hydraulic Elevator - Central Park Plaza - San Mateo, CA

[Recorded 6-16-21] Ok....this thing is FILTHY! This is one of the most disgusting elevators I've ever been on. The fixtures are so full of grease that they get stuck. The cab smells like trash and the floor is sticky and covered in oil. There are spider webs in the corners of the cab and the door track on the top floor is bent. However, on top of all those negativities, the ride quality is actually very good. This was something much older. According to the certificate, this was installed sometime between the mid-50s to early 60s. I'm not sure what it used to be. The door tracks don't look familiar and the GAL could mean anything. The style of the cab definitely shows this was something older. The mod itself is pretty neat. There's a Thyssen Elevator and Dover logo that I've never seen before. Too bad this thing isn't maintained.
