Restoration of a 74 year old Briggs and Stratton engine!

Can you help me identify this antique engine? I stumbled across this 1948 (I believe) Briggs and Stratton Model NS a few months ago. After doing some research, I think this might be a bit of an oddball engine - Plenty of Model N's, NP's, or NR's, but no NS's. It would appear that the "S" stands for suction carb - and as you can see this engine has the "newer" style carb that sits on top of the gas tank instead of a higher tank that allows for gravity feed to the updraft carburetor. At first I thought someone had adapted a newer tank to this old engine, but that doesn't appear to be the case. This video is dedicated to one of my favorite people in the whole world - Don Hayes. Taught me more than I ever needed to know about engines, and that knowledge and skill gained in his shop has paid for itself many times over. Follow along as I disassemble, clean, sandblast, paint, and reassemble this beautiful antique engine!
