We flew to New York to attend our daughter, "Curious Sister's," graduation ceremony from her Master's program at NYU Stern School of Business. She not only introduced us to her classmates, but she and her partner, Krish, also took time off work to accompany us on the subway and through Manhattan at night, letting us experience the charm of this metropolis. From the Manhattan skyline seen from the subway window to sampling the greasy and sinful New York food on the bustling streets, every step of the journey allowed us to witness the struggles of young people striving to live in a foreign land. What made us most gratified wasn't just that our child had completed her studies, but seeing her gradually learn to create her own value in a strange city, and to understand gratitude, sharing, and caring for her family. Our child has truly grown up. ❤️
