Sveti Juraj (Eng: Saint George) is a village in northern Adriatic, close to the Town of Senj and its Nehaj Fortress. It is located on the main Croatian Adriatic transit line - a famous coastline road called Jadranska magistrala. This quaint little town's main industry is fishing but it offers vacation accommodations as well. It is especially attractive if you´re into quiet and relaxed holidays, away from main tourist draws. In addition to unspoiled beaches and clear blue sea, Sveti Juraj offers wonderful opportunities for hiking and mountain climbing because the mighty Velebit Mountain, with its beautiful national park, begins its rise just where the town ends.
