In this week's tutorial, I'll show you how I use underpainting to create that beautiful sense of glowing sunlight before gradually building layers of colour on top. It's a wonderfully effective technique for adding warmth, depth and atmosphere to your landscapes while still keeping that soft, transparent quality that makes watercolour so special. This project was chosen by my YouTube Members in this month's tutorial vote, so thank you to everyone who helped pick it! If you'd like to help choose future tutorials, become a channel member and join in with the monthly votes. Whether you're new to painting landscapes or looking to bring more light into your watercolours, I hope you'll enjoy escaping to Provence with me for a peaceful painting session.
