ISIOLO ELDERS DEMAND GOVERNOR’S ARREST AS DIRECTED BY ODPP, EXPRESS DISCONTENT WITH EACC

A section of community leaders from Isiolo have called for the immediate arrest of Governor Abdi Guyo, following a directive by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP). Speaking during a press conference, the leaders accused the governor of mismanaging county funds meant for development, saying key projects and services have stalled under his leadership. They also expressed frustration with the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), accusing it of failing to act decisively on corruption allegations involving the county government. The leaders urged President William Ruto to fulfil his earlier promise to address the governance and accountability crisis facing Isiolo County.
