He further holds a Master’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Kelaniya and is a certified Master Trainer in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) from India. In addition, he possesses the prestigious “Learning Chemistry” qualification from the University of Turin in Italy, and his academic and professional engagements have extended internationally to Australia, the Sultanate of Oman, and Brunei. Mr. Ajith Jayawardhana is a highly accomplished professional in career development and student guidance, currently serving as CEO of the University College of Rathmalana. He has held multiple distinguished roles, including Chairman of the National Design Centre, Board Director of the National Crafts Council, Founder Director of the Sri Lanka Institute of Career Guidance (Smart Sri Lanka) at the Presidential Secretariat, and Sri Lanka’s first state-university Career Guidance Counsellor during his 18-year tenure at the University of Colombo. He later served as Director/Consultant for Career Guidance and Student Development at the University of Visual and Performing Arts, while also acting as a consultant and trainer for leading institutions such as the UN Sri Lanka Office, IOM, ILO, USAID, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Skills Development & Youth Affairs.
